When I sold Frenchie (see image to the left) last Fall I was inspired to do another Frenchie but this time add in a few of his friends.  The result is a tryptic made up of Big Dog, Hot Dog, and Frenchie II.

These three paintings are composed of my signature color palette of red, blue, yellow, black and grey in a more representational abstract style.  As you can see I keep them to the minimum level of detail which clearly identifies the subject but leaves further interpretation to you, the viewer.

They were a lot of fun to create and will be on display in Gallery 9 at the Workhouse Arts Center later this Fall.

If you're curious about my creative process the following photos show you from sketch to final painting how I created these pups.  If you have any questions about them or my process I'd love to hear from you or chat with you at the gallery some time.  Feel free to drop me an e-mail at genemoty@yahoo.com.
