Creating art is about making something that is unique, enduring and feeds the mind and soul. My inspiration is primarily drawn from the 1917 De Stijl artist movement for their crisp, clean, geometric works done in the primary colors. Other creative minds and work that inspires me are: Frank Lloyd Wright for his design of spaces and buildings; Robert Ryman for his pure, simple, textural, monochromatic paintings; and Ancient Cycladic artists for their simple yet elegant sculptures of the human form.

My work is Abstract Minimalism, created using rich oil paint on linen or cotton canvas. I enjoy using the vibrant primary colors and impasto textures to create a composition that appears simple but is actually rich with complexity. Each and every detail is the result of a lengthy creative process where I work through compositional elements including lines, weights, colors, light, shadow, and elemental relationships. My goal is to create one-of-a-kind pieces that create moments of contemplation, wonder, or surprise for you, the viewer.
